Fun cozy place with so many hand crafted cocktails and great eats. I did stick with sparkling wine, and our server Cory kept it coming! Very attentive. For food we ordered the charred corn risotto, house made waffles with chicken, raw tuna, and shrimp, truffle mac and cheese, candied bacon, and the steamed buns with pork belly. The bacon and risotto came out quickly and was really surprised at how good the risotto was! Loved the fresh charred corn in it. Bacon was good too and came with a side of dijon mustard. The pork buns were very disappointing. The buns were incredibly dry and inedible. The truffle mac and cheese was absolutely delicious, my favorite of all the dishes, and a huge portion for the price. The waffle cones were a fun concept but I felt the sweetness didn't go well with the protein. The tuna poke was good though. Overall a really fun place and would definitely be back.

This place. The food is incredible. The drinks are incredible. ASK FOR STAR! Trust me. You don't know what you're getting yourself into, but you will thank me. Also, get a Cellar Smash (as long as you like ginger). Or get a tiki punch. Or a margarita. Their margaritas are incredible.

Amazing drinks! Dim lighting creates the perfect ambiance and vibe. So glad this was one of my first stops visiting Charlotte. Overall a great speakeasy! I tried the truffle fries + the oysters. Very yummy!

Love the vibes here, such a cool ambiance, and the food is fantastic! I ordered a NY gin, which was good, and truffle fries were solid. I loved my filet mignon (medium rare was the right way to go, and it was so, so tender) and price was reasonable for the quality. I liked the vinaigrette they used on the accompanying arugula salad as well. Brussel sprouts had great flavor. Tried a few bites of my friends duck entree (really great fall flavors) and while the duck was cooked well, the butternut squash risotto was what really stood out to me (perfect texture).

Wow. This place was incredible. I knew I wanted to take my boyfriend here for his birthday after I had been years ago without him before we moved to charlotte. It did NOT disappoint. This place is great for date night, a birthday, anniversary or any special occasion. If you're looking for great small bites and drinks, this is the place or if you're looking for a full course meal, this is also the place! We opted for: The Jalepeño Candied Bacon (7/10), Brussel Sprouts (8/10), Truffle Mac n Cheese (10/10) and the NY Strip (10/10). We both had a couple cocktails and the server kindly gifted us a slice of the Nutella Cheesecake. Seriously, this is a must if you're looking for a special night out!

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. We were looking for something cool and romantic without being super dressy. When we came to our pin on the GPS we honestly thought there was a mistake because through the windows it looked far more casual than what we thought. Don't let the outside building fool you because "The Cellar" at Duckworth's, was actually downstairs. As we descended down the stairs the light reduced every few steps and we were transported to another time. It was kind of magical. The staff donned attire likened to the 1920's. Brick encompassed the whole room. Lighting was very low, mini tea candles on the table. The room was filled with the sounds of an old school Ragtime band. We started with the Short Rib Gyoza Dumplings and I had a cocktail. Unfortunately, I committed a cardinal sin and did not write down the name of my drink. But it was delicious and they have an extensive list to choose from. The dumplings were great! We shared the Charred Corn and Buttered Leek Risotto with our entree. It was so good. Riced was cooked all the way through but it was a bit salty. Salty to the point I could only have about six bites and that was it. But the flavors were there and it was super creamy. My hubby had the Ribeye with greens on the side. It had great flavor, but it was a little bit too rare in the middle. He cut around around the centermost part but wasn't able to eat it all because of that. I had the House Made Waffle Cones. I'm not super into the sweet and savory thing but I wanted to try something new. It was fine. The waffle cones themselves were good but the tuna was pretty bland and boring, and the chicken was way overcooked. The shrimp, however, was really good. The service was fine but I wished that our server had taken the time to tell us the history of the building like I overheard the server next to us tell her table. I think it adds to the overall experience. But if I'm being really honest, our server seemed a little disinterested, hurried and was very clinical about just taking our orders and walking away. Zero on the personality or welcoming scale. Truthfully, I would give this place a 3.7/5 given the food and overall experience. But because the atmosphere is so amazing I think a 4 is fair and I would come back again.

I don't give many 5 star ratings but this place was excellent. We ubered there so I dont know about parking... But we got seated with our reservation on time. Our waitress was excellent, attentive and all around very nice The upstairs looks like a sports bar, but when you go into the cellar it is like a speakeasy atmosphere. The lights are turned down, jazz sounding music is in the background. The menu has a good variety. But most of us ended up eating steak which was very good!! They also do some specialty cocktails like a smoke infused old fashion. My niece and boyfriend have had that and really liked it. It is an expensive dinner but for an excellent dinner out for an occasion... well worth it.

I recently visited The Cellar at Duckworth's in Charlotte and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The ambiance was cozy yet sophisticated, perfect for a night out. I ordered a few small plates to share: the pork buns, burrata, and bison steak. The pork buns were a highlight--soft, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a savory filling. The burrata was incredibly fresh and creamy, paired beautifully with the accompaniments. The bison steak was a real treat; tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, it was the star of the meal. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend The Cellar at Duckworth's if you're looking for a unique and delicious night out in Charlotte.

Great vibe and good cocktails. Service is on point. Overall experience is fun with good drinks but the food is disappointingly underwhelming. May give this place another chance as maybe we're there on an off night. Kansas City steak: cooked medium rare but unfortunately the crust part is too salty and some of the meat is chewy Chargrilled oysters: nice flavors but hardly any meat as most of the oyster is burnt and very little edible part left Sea bass puttanesca: perfectly cooked fish with nice puttanesca seasoning but nothing special Located in the basement of Duckworths. Go down the stair case as you enter the main restaurant.
